Volunteers make all the difference and are appreciated.
The operational and logistical details of the Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships are overseen by a volunteer Organizing Committee (OC). The OC has been meeting for the past few months to prepare for hosting CIRC 2025.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic volunteers to assist with the running of the event on Race Day. There are approximately 30 volunteer opportunities needed on race weekend to manage everything from medal ceremonies, club hub communications, social media and competitor liaison.
Review the following to determine if this applies to you:
- You must be 16 years or older as of January 1, 2025 to volunteer at CIRC 2025.
- You must be available on Sunday February 9, 2025 for a minimum of 6 hours per day, and access to a computer with a microphone and stable internet connection.
- Be available to attend training events in the lead up to the event (online).
- Be flexible to address operational needs of the championships. The OC will ensure assignments match skill sets and volunteers have the resources and training to be successful in their role at CIRC.
- Be willing to sign a Volunteer Code of Conduct and adhere to policies of the LOC.
SIGNING UP TO VOLUNTEER
All volunteers will be able to apply online using our volunteer form. The form will ask for background information, previous applicable volunteer experience such as previously volunteering with CIRC, and skills and knowledge to ensure a good fit. If selected for further consideration, a background check and screening will be conducted in accordance with RCA’s Safe Sport policy.
We expect to receive more applications than we can accommodate so volunteer spots are not guaranteed. Applications are accepted based on need. All accepted applicants will be notified in January 15, 2025 and scheduled for training and screening.
